Exploring ways of expanding children, young adults, and lifelong learners' opportunities to make connections with land and build knowledge of local tree species.
This project is intended to urge individuals to reflect on the distance societal factors place between people and the "more-than-human" world, and how we've set aside the notion that it is important to be knowledgeable of the other species we share land with. Many of us have forgotten the value of building relationships with trees. How natural it is for us to care for those of a different species and to let them care for us.

Field Guide Samples - First Rendition - Zine Format
I plan for this to evolve into a collection of independently published field guides suitable for all but tailored to New York City youth facing deficits in their access to nature.
